Evil Eye/ I is a ritualistic performance piece made up of movements, dance, music to experience of immigration and intergration with British culture as well as queer culture. This performance is about challenging the white gaze and one's own sense of guilt. How does it feel to wear a leather harness whilst wearing your Iranian grandmother's necklace.    Evil Eye/I explores a yearning to reconnect with lost culture and heritage due to migration. The small pleasure in reenacting ritualistic acts as simple as burning Iranian incense as a way of cleansing the oppression and trauma restored in the body.  This performance is about freeing one’s self from the white gaze and own sense of guilt.
